Pursuant to the requirements and for the purposes laid down in art. 13 and art. 14 of EU Regulation no. 679/2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter referred to “GDPR”) and the provisions of the Bulgarian Personal data protection act (hereinafter also only “PDPA”) as applicable, we inform you that the processing of personal data of users who visit https://contestdistribution.com, (referred to “Site”) takes place in compliance with the European and Bulgarian legislation for the protection of personal data, for the purposes and in the manner described below. The following rules only apply to personal data about individuals, they don’t govern data about companies or any other legal entities.

1. OWNERSHIP OF PERSONAL DATA

The “owner” of the Site and thus the controller of the personal data processed in the context of this site is CONTEST OOD, registered in the Bulgarian trade register with UIC code 201453781 (referred to “Controller”).

2. TYPE OF DATA PROCESSED

“Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person;
No form of registration is required to use the Site, so you do not need to provide us with any personal data. However, some services may require the provision of personal data, such as your name and the company you represent, e-mail address, or telephone number.
In order to provide you with our products and services, we may collect and use your personal data such as:
  • your names;
  • address;
  • telephone numbers;
  • e-mails.

3. PURPOSE AND METHOD OF PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Your Personal Data is collected for the following purposes:
  1. for the provision of our products and services;
  2. for the execution and management of contractual obligations under contracts concluded with you, such as purchase orders, delivery, and shipping operations;
  3. for customer care activities, such as a request for information relating to the execution of placed orders, terms and conditions of the shipping and delivery;
  4. for marketing activities, such as the promotion of products marketed through the Site by sending commercial communications relating to our products and services, with your prior consent;
  5. for the fulfillment of legal obligations related to the provision of the services and the management of the Site.
Your personal data is collected and processed on the following grounds. (1) Contractual grounds-processing is necessary for the performance of a contract. (2) On the basis of consent given - it is possible to collect personal data after receiving your explicit, clear, unambiguous, and freely given consent for the purposes of the processing. (3) Legal grounds - processing of personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject or for the purposes of legitimate interests.
 

4. COMMUNICATION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

Your Personal Data may be communicated to third parties - even outside the European Union - such as suppliers, shippers, logistics operators, and others, for the purposes of the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party. The Controller therefore reserves the right to communicate your personal data to third parties, if the communication of such data is necessary for the purpose of providing our services and the fulfillment of contractual obligations.

5. SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

To guarantee the security and confidentiality of personal data, specific rules and systems for data protection have been introduced, among other things, by special firewalls and passwords, in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR. Access to your personal data is allowed only to authorized employees of the Controller who have a real need to use such personal data and who have been trained to process such data in an appropriate manner, in compliance with the principles of security and confidentiality. 

6. PERIOD OF RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data will only be stored for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the fulfillment of legal, accounting, or other reporting requirements.
To determine the appropriate personal data retention period, we apply the principle of proportionality, taking into account the volume and nature of the personal data, the purposes for which it is processed, and whether we can achieve these purposes by other means, and applicable legal requirements.
In any case, the personal data collected for the purposes of providing our services and their implementation will be stored for a maximum period of 10 years from the last provision of our services or from the execution of your last order.

7. RIGHT OF THE INTERESTED PARTY

The subjects involved in data collection can exercise all the rights recognized by the GDPR and in particular to obtain information for:
1. the purposes of the processing of your personal data and the categories of personal data in question;
2.  the right to access your personal data by requesting a copy of the collected personal data by sending us an email at: [email protected];
3. the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be communicated, in particular, if they are recipients of third countries or international organizations;
4. when possible, the retention period of the personal data provided or, if not possible, the criteria used to determine this period;
5. the right to ask the Controller to correct or delete your personal data or limit the processing of personal data. You have the right to withdraw the consent at any time when the processing of your personal data is based on the consent given. You have the right to have your personal data transmitted directly from us to another controller (right to data portability);
6. the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. According to Bulgarian law, such a supervisory authority is Commission for Personal Data Protection, 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd, Sofia, Bulgaria.
